Each isolation channel has a logic input and output buffer separated by a double capacitive silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barrier. The TPT7740 device has four channels in the same direction while the TPT7741 device has three channels in the forward direction and one channel in opposite direction. The TPT7742 device has 2 channels in the forward direction and 2 channels in opposite direction. In the event of input power or signal loss, the default output is low for devices UVLO suffix F and for high devices without suffix F. Used in conjunction with isolated power supplies, these devices help prevent noise currents on data buses, such as RS-485, RS-232, and CAN, from damaging sensitive circuitry. Through innovative chip design and layout techniques, the electromagnetic compatibility of the TPT774x devices has been significantly enhanced to ease system-level ESD, EFT, surge, and emissions compliance. TPT774x family is available in SOP-16, and WSOP16 package, and is characterized from −40°C to +125°C.
