Functional Description Overview 5182N and 5189N are 4/8 channels, 16 bits, approaching ADC, and it's conversation rate is 200kSPS. Internal integration modules include: no missing 16-bit SAR ADC, low crosstalk multiplexer, internal low drift reference voltage source, reference buffer, temperature sensor, configurable sampling filter, channel sequencer. The operating voltage of 5182N and 5189N is 2.3 V to 5.5 V, and the interface voltage can be compatible with 1.8V to 5.5V systems. Output Data Format When the input is configured as unipolar mode, the data output is in direct binary format. When the input is configured as bipolar mode, the data output is in binary complement format. Input configuration Analog inputs can be configured as: 1. CFG[12:10]=00X: Bipolar differential pair, channel differential input determined by CFG [9:7], Negative terminal INx- = 0.5×VREF ± 0.1V, see the table below; 2. CFG[12:10]=010: Bipolar differential, channel positive input INX + is determined by CFG [9:7], COM terminal is selected as negative terminal, and com = 0.5×VREF ± 0.1V, as shown in the table below; 3. CFG[12:10]=10X: Unipolar differential pair, channel differential input determined by CFG [9:7], Negative terminal INX - = GND± 0.1V, see the table below; 4. CFG[12:10]=110: Unipolar differential input, channel positive input INX + is determined by CFG [9:7], COM terminal is selected as the negative terminal, and com = GND ± 0.1V, as shown in the table below; 5. CFG[12:10]=111: Unipolar input, channel positive input INX + is determined by CFG [9:7], and GND is selected at the negative end. MS5182N/MS5189N 16bit、4/8 Channels、200KSPS、 SAR ADC PRODUCT DESCRIPTION MS5182N/MS5189N is a 4/8 channel, 16 bit, charge redistribution successive approximation analog­to­digital converter. It uses single power supply. MS5182N/MS5189N integrates a no missing 16­bit SAR ADC, a low crosstalk multiplexer, an internal low­drift reference voltage source (optional 2.5V or 4.096V), a temperature sensor, an optional single­pole filter, and a sequencer that is useful when multiple channels are sequentially sampled. MS5182N/MS5189N QFN20 uses the SPI interface to configure registers and receive converted data. The SPI interface uses a separate power supply (VIO). MS5182N/MS5189N is packaged in a small QFN20 with operating temperature ranging from ­40°C to +120°C.
